Corporate & brand

Energy on cue.
Not in spite of
the run of show

Product launches, brand activations, offsites, conferences and award nights. A DJ who reads a cue sheet as carefully as a dancefloor, and knows that at a corporate event the programme wins.

The brief is different here

At a club, the DJ is the event. At a corporate event, the DJ is one line on a run of show that also contains a CEO, a video, a trophy handover and a buffet opening at 21:15 sharp.

Most music problems at brand events are not taste problems, they are timing problems — music still playing when the host walks on, dead silence while a laptop is swapped, a well-meaning slow song killing the floor at the exact moment the room was ready. All solvable, and the solution is unglamorous: a written cue sheet, a sound check at show level, and a DJ who has agreed in advance what happens in every gap.

On top of that, enough range to cover the whole evening — house and afro through arrivals and dinner, Bollywood and commercial when the floor opens — without hiring three different people.

01

Music across the evening

17:00 — 19:00

Registration & arrival

Deep house, afro and downtempo at conversation volume. The room should feel considered the moment guests walk in, and nobody should have to raise their voice to say hello.

the formal hour

Presentations & awards

Walk-on stings, bed music under films, clean hard stops and planned re-entries after applause. Levels are set so a lavalier mic always wins against the music.

dinner

Seated service

Warmer, melodic and unobtrusive. Dinner music that holds the room's energy at a simmer so the floor is still reachable afterwards rather than needing to be restarted from zero.

the turn

Programme to party

The hardest fifteen minutes of a corporate event. Programmed deliberately: recognisable records, rising tempo, and the first proper peak timed to land while people are still standing rather than reaching for their coats.

peak

The dancefloor

Commercial, Bollywood and house in the proportion the room asks for. Internal parties and offsites usually want Bollywood-heavy; client-facing launches often want house-forward. Both are available on the night.

close

Winding down

A planned last twenty minutes so the night ends on a high and the venue's curfew is met without the lights coming up mid-track.

02

Working with your team

01

Brief and quote

Send the date, venue, headcount, event type and run of show if it exists. You get availability and a quote, with travel and any additional requirements itemised rather than hidden.

02

Cue sheet

Built with your event manager or agency: every walk-on, video, handover and stop, with the music decision noted against each. Shared, reviewed and locked before the day.

03

Tech coordination

The rider goes to your AV vendor directly. In ballrooms and conference venues the booth is usually improvised, so a monitor and a stable table are agreed in advance.

04

Sound check at show level

Thirty minutes with the system at the volume it will actually run, before guests arrive. A check done quietly tells you nothing about how the room will sound full.

05

On the night

Work to the cue sheet, absorb the delays, keep the music out of the programme’s way until it is finished. Then play a proper set.

Procurement questions

Can you keep the music clean and brand-safe?

Yes — clean edits only, no explicit lyrics, and no records whose titles or themes would sit awkwardly next to your brand. If your marketing or compliance team wants to review the track list in advance, it can be supplied.

How do you handle speeches and presentations?

From a written cue sheet agreed with your event manager: walk-on stings, bed music under a video, hard stops before a speech and a planned re-entry afterwards. The DJ works to the run of show, never the other way round.

Can you cover background music for the whole event?

Yes. Registration, dinner, networking and the after-party are one booking, not several. Having the same person across the evening is also what makes the transition from programme to party work.

Do you work with our AV or production agency?

Preferably, yes. The rider goes to them directly and the sound check is run with their engineer. Agencies generally find this easier than a DJ who turns up with demands on the day.

How does invoicing and documentation work?

Bookings are confirmed in writing with the commercial terms stated, and invoicing details are agreed at the time of booking so your procurement process is not waiting on paperwork during event week.

Do you travel for offsites outside Mumbai?

Yes, across India and internationally. Travel, accommodation and local transport are itemised in the quote. Resort and destination offsites are a regular format.

Corporate & brand

Send the
run of show.

Date, venue, headcount and event type is enough for a quote. If you already have a run of show, send that too and the cue sheet conversation starts straight away.
